Hawaiin getaway

So we had an awesome time in Hawaii. We were able to experience lots of really cool things amongst a few little mishaps, but all and all we had a great time. We first went to Oahu, and while there for two days we went to the Dole plantation, got kicked off the Dole plantation, saw the north shore (famous for big wave surfing), went to the polynesian cultural center, got in a car accident, saw pearl harbor and went to waikiki beach all while Adam was sick. I'm not sure what we were thinking trying to cram all that into two days, but we did it. It was fun, but I was really excited to get to Maui where we heard it was much more relaxing. So we were so excited planning this trip to get away from everything and have a nice romantic getaway, but who ends up being on Maui at the same time but my little brother, Brock. Not only was he in Maui at the same time, but was staying in the same city and his hotel was on the same street as ours. I wasn't really expecting to hang out with little bro. on my romatic vacation, but he somehow seems to find me everywhere. Really, it wasn't bad having him there we all went a gorgeous hike together, and since he got there before us he was able to tell us the best beaches to go to and places to eat and such. So, all in all it wasn't bad having him there.Anyway, Maui was definitely more laid back which was nice, but we still crammed a lot in while there. We saw some amazing waterfalls, a black sand beach, red sand beach,bamboo forest, awesome white sand beaches, sunrise above the clouds on top of a volcano, did some boogie boarding and snorkeling and soaked in some rays. Adam had all the seafood he could dream of and I certainly had my fill of macadamia nuts which explains why I put on 5 pounds while there. We were sad to leave, but at the same time anxious to see our kids. I missed them more than I expected and couldn't wait to see them again. I swear that their looks had changed in the short time that we were gone. Next time we go(ha ha) I think that we'll take them with us - they would have a blast there.
